Haven House is licensed and regulated by Kansas Department on Aging as a ‘Home Plus’.  A relatively new model of care in senior living, a home plus provides a combination of comfortable housing with health care.  You will enjoy private rooms, furnished with your own belongings and mementos, each with a full bath and roll in shower.  Telephone and cable hookups are located in each room.  A common living and dining room are shared for social interaction.

When it comes to choosing the best housing option for an aging senior, the decision is not easy. There are a variety of housing options available, but one in particular is becoming a growing trend and option for senior care in the state of Kansas – Home Plus. With more than 80 state licensed facilities in the state of Kansas that provide this level of care, it is important to understand what a Home Plus facility is and the unique options they provide for senior care.

A Home Plus facility provides senior care in a residential setting with twelve people or less. All Home Plus facilities must be licensed with the state of Kansas, must follow strict rules and regulations of the state, and must pass yearly inspections.

The level of care provided by each Home Plus facility varies from independent living to full nursing care. Regardless of the level of care, the smaller settings allow a higher staff-to-resident ratio so each resident can have individualized one-on-one nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
